Incumbent provides leadership, guidance and counseling to students in a group living environment. Assists students, peers, and subordinates in understanding the relevance of and promotes development of positive social skills.
This position requires the incumbent to assist students, peers, and subordinates in understanding the relevance of, and promotes the development of positive social skills among students through modeling appropriate behavior, positive intervention, and positively intervening and teaching appropriate employability skills for workplace success.

Gives practical advice and counsel to students and proposes solutions to routine problems. Maintains order and discipline among students. Provides leadership and direction to students in performing daily housekeeping duties, work details, physical training, recreation, hygiene, etc. Serves as primary assistant to a Dormitory Manager. Schedules, coordinates, and supervises work details, recreational and other group activities. Follows supervisor's instruction on assignments, deadlines, and priorities. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently.
REQUIREMENTS:
May be subject to satisfactory completion of one year probationary or trial period.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license. This position requires the selectee to obtain or possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and therefore, is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Department of Transportation (DOT)/Forest Service Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Program. Applicant tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use unless they currently occupy a TDP under the DOT/Forest Service Alcohol and Controlled Substances Testing Program. Final appointment is conditional on a negative drug test. This announcement constitutes 30 days advance notice.
DRUG TESTING: This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). Selectee must submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and random testing thereafter. Final appointment and continued employment is conditional on negative results for illegal drug use.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level.
OR successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelors degree that (a) included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of subjects directly related to the work of the position; (b) included a major in social behavior, human behavior, or health care or; (c) was supplemented by specialized experience as described above for GS-4;

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
