Responsible for providing outstanding customer assistance. Duties include: customer service; providing change; verifying wins; providing customers with a beverage; answering telephone calls; cleaning gaming machines, bathrooms, bar furniture, glassware, etc.; changing paper in gaming machines; mopping and sweeping floors; vacuuming, shoveling snow and sweeping parking lots and sidewalks; and changing out soda or taps on beer kegs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Remember regular customer's names and faces and monitor legal age requirements.
2. Wearing the uniform and keeping your appearance neat and clean.
3. Accurate and effective completion of shift paper work.
4. Ability to accurately make change and account for large amounts of cash.
5. Suggest selling and helping customers with gaming machine operations.
6. Clean rest rooms, ashtrays, dusting, windows, floors, emptying trash cans, dishes, cleaning tables, and messes of others.
7. Use of fire extinguishes and other safety equipment.
8. Waiting on customers playing games and at the tables.
9. Vendor-check in procedures.
10. Cleaning games and keep bar furniture neatly arranged.
11. Listening and handling customer complaints.
12. Use of safety manual, and casino rest room logs.
13. Casino Safety and security.
14. Answer and screening telephone calls.
15. Stocking, pricing, receiving, and rotating of bar products and supplies, to include changing out kegs.
16. Advises manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on casino operating performance.
17. Greets customer, verifies that customer is of age and takes order.
18. Fills glass of beer from tap.
19. Hands out buffet coupons, plates, and silverware to machine players.
20. Obtains food order, delivers to restaurant, picks up food, and delivers to customer.
21. Obtains (from cooler) and opens cans and bottles of beer, pop, and wine.
22. Prepares blended wine drinks to order.
23. Distributes drinks to customers.
24. Makes change, receive payments for drinks, etc., operates cash register, and tallies transactions.
25. Assists patrons in verifying wins; records and makes payouts to gambling machine winners.
26. Washes glassware and cleans bar and work area.
27. Picks up empty glasses, pitchers, cans, bottles, and litter; empties ashtrays into proper receptacles.
28. Fills and carries bucket of ice from icemaker to bar.
29. Repairs and resets signs.
30. Changes tape (paper) in gambling machines.
31. Calls maintenance person or gaming machine company to repair machines or assist with changing the paper or ribbons.
32. Replenishes beer in cooler.
33. Vacuums casino floor.
34. Mops and sweeps floor behind bar.
35. Shovels snow and sweeps parking lots and sidewalks.
36. Changes out soda premix syrup boxes.
37. Changes taps on kegs of beer and removes empty kegs.
38. Must be able to work with customers and co-workers.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
6 months of related experience in area of bartending
